Be Child- like

Mark 10:15
"... I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

A child, is just like a small bud. With a simple, innocent mind. He believes and trusts in his parents or family members. His loyalty to them is undying and unquestionable.
Let this trust and loyalty grow, you will see a beautiful bloom.

All of us have been little children before. Yet, on the growing up path, we were betrayed, treated harshly and even had our innocent minds corrupted. We experienced the pain of 'knowing the truths' and 'coming back to reality'. Due to this, we are looking for ways to get even.

However, raising a child and shielding him from all truths may not be so right. Yet, all pains have a story behind them. Share the story, make them life-lessons. Children grow from that. They may not be perfect but, they will become better people than we are. Definitely.

John 8:12
"....... I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

What ever you do, makes sure it is from a clear conscience.
Jesus is the truth, so, we must be truthful.
Jesus is the Light, so, we must be a light too.
Walk out the light in us, so that others may see and join us too!

When is the time?

Everyone plays a watch and wait game everyday.
We all live to .....

Matthew 25:13
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
What is beauty?
Is enjoying life so important?
Does pleasure play an important part in everybody's life?

"However many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all.
But let him remember the days of darkness, for they will be many.
Everything to come is meaningless.

Be happy, young man, while you are young,
and let your heart gives you joy
in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see,
but know that
for all these things
GOD will bring you to judgement." ECCLESIASTES 11:8-9

At The end of The road

What is at the end of every road?

Will it be just a junction,

where

we can choose a road to walk in?

Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left,
your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
"This is the way; walk in it."

Who can decide?

............ do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Matthew 6:25

............ who of you by worry can add a single hour to his life? Matthew 6:27

Man lives by worrying about tomorrow. Even school-going children have their own worries. Little toddles do worry too when they can't see any familiar faces around them.

What is God's assurance to us?

.............. Ask and it will be given to you;
Seek and you will find;
Knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. ............

Luke 6:36
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Life is very often a bag of mixed surprises. Sometimes, you will wake up in the morning with anticipation. Sometimes, you will just feel plain lazy.
However, whatever your feeling is, be good to others.

Stop and think

If life is going too fast, or .......
If you are living a fast life, slow down.

Slow down,
take a rest,
take a nap,
look around,

Surely you'll find something
that will be a guide.

Stop and think .....

Which is the best
Which fits you best.

Before you move on,
and never look back ....

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:29

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:30

Which do you choose?

I believe, each of us has problems of all sorts. There's no one out there who wants to listen, much more to share our burden.

Sometimes, it's worse when we did or said something that might hurt others ..... their feelings.

There were times when we thought things would be better, but none of that happened.

There were times when we tried to be selfsih, but we were brought up with good values, so we couldn't.

If someone were to offer you a lot of money today, would you accept it?

If the condition of having the money is, to disappear forever, would you still accept it?

If you have a choice to decide what to become, what would you choose?

This is the time which we should listen to what Jesus said:

Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
John 14:1

I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Whichever way you have chosen, remember to tell Jesus about it!

Will You Follow Him?

How many of us are really like the prophets or even Jesus' disciples and followers in the olden days?
How many of us will truly say, "I go!" when Jesus calls us to follow Him?

In the New Testament, the four gospels stated that all his disciples followed Jesus at once once they were called. That's total obedience.

Even in the Old Testament, prophets did that ... answering to God's calling without any delay.

In this modern world, how many of us will do that?

We always have so many worldly worries and most of the time, these worries are with us till we die ..... how sad!

I believe that when that's a calling in your heart, you don't have to give up all your worldly ownership. Instead use them to benefit those who need your help .......

Jesus one told a rich man, " ..... Sell everything you have and give it to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Luke 18:22)

One Life

One Life
One song can tell a story
One wish can wake a dream
One seed can start a forest
One bird can herald spring
One smile begins a friendship
One friend can soothe a soul
One star can guide a ship at sea
One ship can bring you home
One voice can speak with courage
One heart can know what's true
One life can make a difference
One life belongs to you!
One hand begins a chain of love
One candle lights a room
One love can bring a spark of hope
One hope can conquer gloom
One step begins a journey
One word begins a prayer
One prayer can heal a spirit
One touch can show you care
One voice can speak with courage
One heart can know what's true
One life can make a difference
One life belongs to you!

I Love HIM

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2)

What is the greatest difference in God's love and man's love? Unless a man knows God, his love only leans to materiality. His committment towards his love to 'people' is not strong at all.
However, God's love is everlasting. He is always there when you or I call on Him ...... always. Sometimes, He answers us immediately, sometimes, He is quiet as He is waiting for the right timing.
We all should learn more about His love ................................

Live the present, not the past

Philippians 3:13-14

.............. Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

I press on toward the goal to win the prize

for which God has called me.

There are many regrets in our lives. Who can stand and say he doesn't have any? As we go on our lives, the regrets, fears and quams build up.
There are so many good things in front of us, yet we are blinded by the past. We dare not move forward because we are held back by fears.
We talk as if we know what to do, but in reality, we don't. We hesitate and wait for others to move first. Our fears has overcome the desire to be a new self the next moment.
No, I want to be a new me ..............
forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me.

Change and Learn To Live

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy and thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

We knew how life is. There are so much to live for yet, not much time to do so. Most of the time, we ran blindly towards all the directions...... Thinking the treasures were to be found there.

Yet, when we found the real treasure, we never appreciated the effort we spent in doing so. Instead, we spent more time trying to amass other 'treasures' thinking, by doing so, our souls will be richer and calmer.

Finally, we stopped and looked around, as we thought we had enough ..... we have nothing at all.

Isn't it time to start changing our attitudes and start living?

A Second Chance

John 1-8 tells of what Jesus did when he was asked to judge a woman commited a sin.

JESUS said "If any of you without is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

This left me thinking ......

The Chinese will say, if you died as a sinner, then after eighteen years, you'll be reborn another good man.

But, why wait eigtheen years? We have an instant redemption here .......

John 8:11 " .............. 'Then neither do I condemn you,' Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

What a great promise!

Love Channel

Channeling Christ's Love

By Dr. Robert Schuller

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." --John 15:5

Faith allows you to open up and be yourself! It is connecting yourself, with spiritual integrity, in a relationship with Jesus Christ. When that happens, you can work wonders in helping other people. Happiness, self-esteem, and self-worth will be natural byproducts!
What is a Christian anyway? A Christian is a mind through which Christ thinks, a heart through which Christ loves, an eye through which Christ looks, a face through which Christ smiles and encourages people, a hand through which Christ touches, and a voice through which Christ offers hope. Can I be a Christian?
You can do it if you are willing to be a conduit.
Recently a friend shared with me, "Your possibility thinking really helps me. I was having real problems with my son. One day I was out in my garden. When I looked at the water pipe, I thought to myself, Christ wants me to be a conduit. He wants to flow through me. I simply have to let Him do it.
"Then," she said, "the phrase hit me: 'I can do it if I will be a con-du-it.'"
That's what a branch is to a tree--a conduit for the sap to flow upward to bear fruit.
That's what an electrical wire is--a conduit for energy to flow from the source to the place of need. That's what you and I are in this life--conduits for Christ carrying love. Through us, Christ can turn on lights in dark minds!
* * *
I was pondering what to write this time ...... afterall, one can't run out of praises for the Lord.
Then, I read this powerful article. Yes, it's good to know that Christ carries with Him the love we all need. Christ is love itself in full example. We will be His channels ...... let Love flow from us!

Most Richly Blessed

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation -
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life -
of whom shall I be afraid?

Most Richly Blessed by Roy Campanella

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve.
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health, that I might do great things.
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.

I asked for riches, that I might be happy.
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life.
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing I asked for, but everything I hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among men, most richly blessed!

- Roy Campanella, 1921-1993

Let's be brave

Let's Be Brave

Let's be brave when the laughter dies
And the tears come into our troubled eyes,
Let's cling to the faith and the old belief
When the skies grow gray with the clouds of grief,
Let's bear the sorrow and hurt and pain
And wait till the laughter comes again.

Let's be brave when the trials come
And our hearts are sad and our lips are dumb,
Let's strengthen ourselves in the times of test
By whispering softly that God knows best;
Let us still believe, though we cannot know,
We shall learn sometime it is better so.

Let's be brave when the joy departs,
Till peace shall come to our troubled hearts,
For the tears must fall and the rain come down
And each brow be pressed to the thorny crown;
Yet after the dark shall the sun arise,
So let's be brave when the laughter dies.

~ Edgar A. Guest (1881 - 1959)

Which way?

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.

William Penn..."I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing Ican do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again."

Joy in my heart

Psalm 28 : 6-7

Praise be to the Lord,
for He has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.

Thoughts About Life 13

Ecclesiastes 7:13
Consider what God has done:
Who can straighten
what He has made crooked?
"There has never yet been a man in our history who led a life of ease whose name is worth remembering."- Theodore Roosevelt

If God wants things to be His way, we can't have them the other way!

Thoughts About Life 12

Ecclesiastes 7:12

Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter,
but the advantage of knowledge is this:
that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor.

Thoughts About Life 11

Ecclesiastes 7:11

Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing
and benefits those who see the sun.

Thoughts About Life 10

Ecclesiastes 7:10

Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?"
For it is not wise to ask such questions.

It is always normal for us to ask such questions. We always thought the old days were better because we didn't face problems we are facing today.

Even yesterday seemed to be better than today!

Believe in youself.
Tell yourself that tomorrow will be better. Miracles do happen, and the first one is when you open your eyes the first thing in the morning ...... yes, you're alive!

I believe this to be God's message - living is solving problems.

Thoughts About Life 9

Ecclesiastes 7:9

Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit,
for anger resides in the lap of fools.
I have seen anger destroyed someone's life -----------
all the fortune he has built and the reputation he has earned ---------
went up in smokes when acted hastily and foolishly.
Can we afford the downfall?

Thoughts About Life 8

Ecclesiastes 7:8

The end of a matter is better than its beginning,
and
patience is better than pride.
Frankly, how many of us last till the end?
How many of us can be still and listen to what God wants to tell us?
Do we not say the first that comes to our mind, whether it is right, or wrong?
In the end, when all is lost, we can only sigh and say "IF ONLY......................."

Thoughts About Life 7

Ecclesiastes 7:7

Extortion turns a wise man into a fool,
and a bribe corrupts the heart.

And who can resist 'money, wealth and power'?

Thoughts About Life 6

Ecclesiastes 7:6

Like the crackling of thorns under the pot,
so is the laughter of the fools.
This too is meaningless.

Thoughts About Life 5

Ecclesiastes 7:5

It is better to heed a wise man's rebuke
than
to listen to the song of fools.
Do you like to be reprimanded?
Do you like the harsh truth about life itself?
Do you like others to sing praises over you little 'deeds'?
Do you like others to see and acknowledge your achievements?
Whichever you choose, you may have been through the hard reality that life is not a bed of roses. Even if it is, there'll be sharp thorns all over. It isn't a comfortable sail at all.
Choose to listen to a wise man's word. For he has been through what you have not. Chose God's word. For He creates us, and all that around us. For He knows what's best for us.

Thoughts About Life 4

Ecclesiates 7:4

Someone who is always thinking about happines is a fool.
A wise person thinks about death.

Thoughts About Life 3

Ecclesiastes 7:3

Sorrow is better than laughter;
it may sadden your face,
but it sharpens your understanding.
Sometimes, when we live 'too' happily, we forget the real meaning why we are in this world. Afterall, it's human nature to forget ....

Thoughts About Life 2

Ecclesiastes 7:2

It is better to go to a home where there is mourning than to one where there is a party,
because the living should always remind themselves that death is waiting for all.

As I was reading this verse, it dawned on me that once dead, we couldn't do all the things we wanted to. While we are still breathing, it is time to do them, and to glorify God too.
That's why God wants us to enjoy our short life on earth ..... to live happily for our own sake and for HIS sake too!

Thoughts about Life 1

Ecclesiastes 7:1

A good reputation is better than expensive perfume;
and the day you die is better than the day you born.

What is important than your reputation?
Animals die leaving their bones, Man dies leaving their reputation.
