Thoughts About Life 13

Ecclesiastes 7:13
Consider what God has done:
Who can straighten
what He has made crooked?
"There has never yet been a man in our history who led a life of ease whose name is worth remembering."- Theodore Roosevelt

If God wants things to be His way, we can't have them the other way!

Thoughts About Life 12

Ecclesiastes 7:12

Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter,
but the advantage of knowledge is this:
that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor.

Thoughts About Life 11

Ecclesiastes 7:11

Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing
and benefits those who see the sun.

Thoughts About Life 10

Ecclesiastes 7:10

Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?"
For it is not wise to ask such questions.

It is always normal for us to ask such questions. We always thought the old days were better because we didn't face problems we are facing today.

Even yesterday seemed to be better than today!

Believe in youself.
Tell yourself that tomorrow will be better. Miracles do happen, and the first one is when you open your eyes the first thing in the morning ...... yes, you're alive!

I believe this to be God's message - living is solving problems.

Thoughts About Life 9

Ecclesiastes 7:9

Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit,
for anger resides in the lap of fools.
I have seen anger destroyed someone's life -----------
all the fortune he has built and the reputation he has earned ---------
went up in smokes when acted hastily and foolishly.
Can we afford the downfall?

Thoughts About Life 8

Ecclesiastes 7:8

The end of a matter is better than its beginning,
and
patience is better than pride.
Frankly, how many of us last till the end?
How many of us can be still and listen to what God wants to tell us?
Do we not say the first that comes to our mind, whether it is right, or wrong?
In the end, when all is lost, we can only sigh and say "IF ONLY......................."

Thoughts About Life 7

Ecclesiastes 7:7

Extortion turns a wise man into a fool,
and a bribe corrupts the heart.

And who can resist 'money, wealth and power'?

Thoughts About Life 6

Ecclesiastes 7:6

Like the crackling of thorns under the pot,
so is the laughter of the fools.
This too is meaningless.

Thoughts About Life 5

Ecclesiastes 7:5

It is better to heed a wise man's rebuke
than
to listen to the song of fools.
Do you like to be reprimanded?
Do you like the harsh truth about life itself?
Do you like others to sing praises over you little 'deeds'?
Do you like others to see and acknowledge your achievements?
Whichever you choose, you may have been through the hard reality that life is not a bed of roses. Even if it is, there'll be sharp thorns all over. It isn't a comfortable sail at all.
Choose to listen to a wise man's word. For he has been through what you have not. Chose God's word. For He creates us, and all that around us. For He knows what's best for us.

Thoughts About Life 4

Ecclesiates 7:4

Someone who is always thinking about happines is a fool.
A wise person thinks about death.

Thoughts About Life 3

Ecclesiastes 7:3

Sorrow is better than laughter;
it may sadden your face,
but it sharpens your understanding.
Sometimes, when we live 'too' happily, we forget the real meaning why we are in this world. Afterall, it's human nature to forget ....

Thoughts About Life 2

Ecclesiastes 7:2

It is better to go to a home where there is mourning than to one where there is a party,
because the living should always remind themselves that death is waiting for all.

As I was reading this verse, it dawned on me that once dead, we couldn't do all the things we wanted to. While we are still breathing, it is time to do them, and to glorify God too.
That's why God wants us to enjoy our short life on earth ..... to live happily for our own sake and for HIS sake too!

Thoughts about Life 1

Ecclesiastes 7:1

A good reputation is better than expensive perfume;
and the day you die is better than the day you born.

What is important than your reputation?
Animals die leaving their bones, Man dies leaving their reputation.
